The police are seeking the assistance of the public to identify the bodies of two men found dead yesterday afternoon. Both bodies were found in unrelated incidents.
According to reports, residents of Plaissance Road heard loud explosions around 4.30 pm yesterday. Shortly after that, the body of a man of African decent was found lying in an open area adjacent to the St Phillip Primary School.
The man, who was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the head, was wearing a yellow T-shirt, black Levi jeans and blue slippers. He appears to be in his late 30s.
The police are calling on the public to help identify the man.
PC Lewis from the homicide department is investigating.
In an unrelated incident, the decomposed body of a man was found on the Audrey Jeffers Highway on the foreshore. He was found around 6.30 pm yesterday.
Both bodies were sent to the Forensic Science Centre, St James. However, the bodies need to be identified before an autopsy can take place.
