Businessman shot dead in Arima
A 30-year-old business man from Arima has become the nation’s latest murder.
According to the police, last night around 10pm Chong Cao, from #82 Tumpuna Road, La Horquetta was walking out of his restaurant Zhong Guo, located at the same address, when a gunman approached him and fired several shots.
Three of the shots hit Cao in his face. He collapsed at the scene. Cao was rushed to the Arima Health Facility where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
CCTV cameras captured the gunman entering and leaving the premises.
Cao’s death brings the murder toll to 22.
