The body of a 36-year-old man was found bound and gagged yesterday morning in Petit Valley. He had been shot in the head and police believe that he was executed. They identified the body as that of Aaron Duncan, from Bagatelle Road, Diego Martin.
According to police reports, residents of Boiler Trace, Cameron Road, Petit Valley, observed a panel van parked along the road on Friday around 5 pm.
Residents said that although the van was not familiar to them, it did not arouse their suspicion at the time.
At around 8 am yesterday, the residents, on seeing that the van had not moved since the day before, went to investigate.
They discovered blood trails near the door of the van and on looking inside saw the body of a man.
The police were notified and a team of officers from the Western Division Task Force led by Cpl Nurse visited the scene.
The area was cordoned off and crime scene investigators from the Homicide Bureau processed the scene.
This brings the murder toll to 47 for the year.
