Gabriel wins again with Another Day In Paradise

Vet­er­an mas de­sign­er Ros­alind Gabriel says she is hap­py with her band plac­ing first in the Ju­nior Bands cat­e­go­ry (Large) of the NCC Band of the Year com­pe­ti­tion.She said so yes­ter­day short­ly af­ter the re­sults were an­nounced at a me­dia brief­ing at NCC's of­fices, St Clair.

Gabriel, who was cel­e­brat­ing her 18th win in the cat­e­go­ry, said she was ex­treme­ly hap­py.

"I nev­er take win­ning for grant­ed. I do my best and I hope for the best. I would love to con­grat­u­late every­one who placed in ju­nior and se­nior cat­e­gories.

"This is my 18th ti­tle in the NCC band of the year and each time it seems like my first time," Gabriel said.

She said her pre­sen­ta­tion, ti­tled An­oth­er Day in Par­adise, was part of her fo­cus on the beau­ty of the coun­try.

"Every year I try to fo­cus on a dif­fer­ent part of life in T&T and I choose dif­fer­ent places which are like na­tion­al trea­sures. They are ex­quis­ite places to vis­it and I try to show­case that," she added.
