Police jeep lands in drain after accident

A police vehicle was today involved in an accident on the north-bound lane of the Uriah Butler Highway.

Around 1.30 pm today four officers from the Inter Agency Task Force were returning from a training session in a police jeep when it collided with a car in the vicinity of the Amco Compound, Chaguanas. The police vehicle ran off the road and into a drain. 

The four officers and the driver of the other car were injured. They were taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mount Hope.

Investigations continue.
