A 41 year-old-man was killed in a police shootout this morning.
Police say at 5.45 am, officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force were on a routine foot patrol in the Laventille area. When they reached Calvary Hill, they noticed William Rock, also known as "Boneman" acting "suspiciously."
Officers claim rock pulled out a gun. An exchange of gunfire followed.
Rock was a number of times on multiple parts of his body.
He was rushed to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Officers recovered a .38 revolver on the scene.
Police believe that Rock was connected to the murder of the unidentified burnt body found in East Dry River, Port-of-Spain on Monday.
