Sheron’s brother shot in drive-by

Sheldon Sukhdeo, the brother of car dealer Sheron Sukhdeo, and a female companion escaped death and serious injury when they were struck during a drive-by shooting in San Fernando.

Sukhdeo, 31, of the Caroni Savannah Road, Chaguanas, was seated in his white Mercedes Benz along with Ivianny Vera, 20, a Venezuelan national when the incident occurred.

Police said the car was parked near 4Play Guest House along Bertrand Street, San Fernando, when a vehicle passed firing several shots.

Sukhdeo was shot in his right bicep while Vera was grazed by a bullet on her left arm.

Cpl Ramdass and PC Seepersad of the Mon Repos Police Station responded along with an ambulance.
