The sus­pi­cious look of a 28-year-old man from Va­len­cia led po­lice to search him, re­sult­ing in his ar­rest, as he was in pos­ses­sion of an il­le­gal gun and am­mu­ni­tion.

Po­lice re­port­ed around 3:20 pm yes­ter­day, act­ing on a tip, they pro­ceed­ed to Emon Lane, Va­len­cia where they saw the 28-year-old stand­ing on the side of the road. Of­fi­cers no­ticed he turned away from their ap­proach­ing po­lice ve­hi­cle. He ap­peared to be at­tempt­ing to con­ceal some­thing.

The of­fi­cers be­came sus­pi­cious and ap­proached the man. They found one Tau­rus.38 Spe­cial Re­volver with four live rounds and one spent shell of .38 am­mu­ni­tion.

He was ar­rest­ed and the gun and am­mu­ni­tion were seized.

The of­fi­cers then ex­e­cut­ed a search war­rant on his home in Va­len­cia where they found more am­mu­ni­tion.

He was tak­en to the Va­len­cia Po­lice Sta­tion where he was charged. He will ap­pear vir­tu­al­ly be­fore a San­gre Grande Mag­is­trate.
