Three men have been arrested and a quantity of stolen items recovered following an exercise in the Arima district, yesterday.
Among the things they stole was a blow-up pool.
The three suspects; a 23-year-old and 26-year-old, both of Wallerfield and a 36-year-old of Valencia, were arrested in connection with reports of warehouse breaking and housebreaking and larceny in the Torrecilla Gardens, Arima, over the last week.
During the exercise, which was spearheaded by Snr. Supt. Curtis Paul, officers of the Arima Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and Crime Patrol Unit, executed a search warrant at the home of one of the suspects.
While there, officers discovered one Glock pistol and a magazine loaded with 14 rounds of ammunition, one Stihl electric hedge trimmer, one Stihl gas brush cutter, one WORX electric turbine blower, one glass bottle containing an assortment of Trinidad and Tobago coins, one 120-gallon industrial compressor, one razor power rider 360, one power stroke 1700 PSI electric power washer, one Stihl electric power washer, one black mini-tyre compressor, one Xbox gaming console with three controllers and Xbox games, one silver HP laptop, one white 8x4 bed bases, one blow-up pool, one air pump, a suitcase with a quantity of PS2 games, along with four tyres on 22- inch rims.
The three suspects were arrested and taken to the Arima Police Station, pending charges.
