Eastern Division Gang Intelligence Unit (EDGU) officers conducted an education-driven exercise for students of North Eastern College in Sangre Grande with an emphasis on gang violence and its repercussions.

The exercise was done through an interactive lecture at the school's auditorium with 300 students participating.

The team of officers lectured on topics like school violence, drug use, bullying and gang violence.

All topics were presented to the students through PowerPoint.

The students were allowed to voice their concerns and share their ideas and experiences of gang violence in the school and respective communities.

Snr Supt Khan, commander of Eastern Division said the exercise was able to provide the Unit with valuable information and had a positive impact on students.
