It's only been one week and one day since radio DJ Akil Borneo escaped death after being shot five times early last week Thursday morning by gunmen who reportedly followed him after he left his place of work at 96.1FM and went to Panka Street in St James.
Borneo who adopted the name "The new girls dem darling" 5Star Akil, after having a bumper Carnival season with his first soca release 5Star Bumper, which rocked the airwaves and catapulted the deejay even further into the entertainment spotlight, will be celebrating his birthday on Sunday at the Zen nightclub on Keate Street, Port-of-Spain.
The celebration, dubbed Life, Love & Unity, is expected to include Destra Garcia, Terry Lyons, Denise Belfon, Allison Hinds, 3Suns, Shal & Screws, Buffy, Swappy and 2010 Road March winners, JW & Blaze to mention a few.
