The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has issued an Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) in effect from 12.01 pm to 7.01 pm today.
The Met Office said there is a 60 per cent chance of thunderstorm activity linked to low-level convergence. Heavy rainfall is expected, with the possibility of street and flash flooding, localised ponding and landslips.
Gusty winds may also accompany heavy showers and thunderstorms.
Residents and motorists in flood and landslip-prone areas are being urged to remain alert, avoid crossing flood waters, and monitor official updates from the Met Office.
