A 35-year-old man was denied bail and remanded into custody when he appeared before the Princes Town Magistrates’ Court, on Monday 23 May 2022, charged with possession of firearm, kidnapping and wounding with intent.
Kent Thomas, also known as ‘Bomber’, of Harmony Hall, Gasparillo, also was charged with possession of ammunition, possession of firearm to endanger life and possession of ammunition to endanger life, when he appeared before Magistrate Indira R. Misir-Gosine, yesterday.
A release from the Police Service states that Thomas is expected to reappear in court on Thursday 2 June 2022.
According to reports, the accused was allegedly involved in a reported kidnapping and wounding with intent incident in the Southern Division, on 23 April 2021.
Officers of the Princes Town Criminal Investigations Department (CID) spearheaded by Sgt. Teeluck, Cpl Khan and PC Rajkumarsingh conducted further enquiries and arrested the accused on Friday 20 May 2022.
He was charged with the offences on Monday 23 May 2022.
