The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of Central Trinidad served by the Caroni Water Treatment plant, that there would be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Wednesday 1st May 2019, between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm.
WASA says this has become necessary in order to facilitate repairs to a defective valve off the Caroni South Trunk Transmission System, located along the Caroni South Bank Road, Kelly Village.
Areas to be affected include: Caroni, St. Helena, Felicity, Charlieville, Munroe Road, Warrenville, Longdenville, Caparo, Enterprise, Cunupia, Chaguanas, Endeavour, Carapichaima, Waterloo, Chase Village, Freeport, Gran Couva, Mayo, Couva, Dow Village, Basta Hall, Milton and California.
Customers are being further advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas, after repair works have been completed.
Motorists are also being asked to proceed with caution in the vicinity of the jobsite.
