A Bamboo man was robbed of $2,000 in cash during a home invasion on Monday by several men he believed to be police officers.
The 39-year-old of Bamboo Settlement No 3 in Valsayn, said he was lying on his bed around 3.55 am when he heard a loud knocking at the front door and someone yelling, “Police! Police! Open up.”
Immediately dialling 999, the victim said four masked men broke down the door and entered his one-bedroom apartment.
Two of the men, who were armed with firearms, were dressed in grey and blue camouflage clothing, closely resembling that worn by the police.
The men ransacked the house and stole $2,000 in cash before fleeing in an unknown direction.
