Bandits break into car, walk off $15,000 worth of tools

Thieves made off with ap­prox­i­mate­ly $15,000 worth of brand-new tools af­ter break­ing in­to a parked ve­hi­cle along South­ern Main Road, En­ter­prise, ear­ly Mon­day morn­ing.

The in­ci­dent oc­curred around 3.50 am.

Po­lice said the per­pe­tra­tors gained ac­cess to the vic­tim’s car and stole sev­er­al high-val­ue items, in­clud­ing three Toque-brand weld­ing ma­chines, two Em­top cord­less grinders, three Tolsen cord­ed grinders, a drilling press, a cord­less drill kit con­tain­ing two To­tal-brand drills, a Maki­ta cord­less screw gun, and a Maki­ta chop saw.

All the stolen tools were re­cent­ly pur­chased and had not yet been used.

Sur­veil­lance footage from the area cap­tured the thieves walk­ing away with the tools. 

Po­lice are re­view­ing the footage as part of their in­ves­ti­ga­tion.
