Thieves made off with a tele­vi­sion and lap­top af­ter break­ing in­to a church in Clax­ton Bay over the week­end.

A dea­con of the For­res Park Sev­enth Day Ad­ven­tist Church at Sum Sum Hill ar­rived at the church yes­ter­day morn­ing and dis­cov­ered the back door open.

They be­lieve the ban­dits gained en­try in­to the church by cut­ting the bur­glar-proof of a win­dow.

The thieves al­so stole a re­mote and HD­MI cord. This was the fourth time that ban­dits tar­get­ed the church in 35 years, but the first in­ci­dent in ten years.

Of­fi­cers from the St Mar­garet’s Po­lice Sta­tion are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
