Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the mur­der of a man on Cock­er­ton Street in Port-of-Spain Wednes­day morn­ing.

The vic­tim has been iden­ti­fied as Shawn Ray­mond who al­so goes by the name 'Bean' of Nel­son Street.

He was shot at ap­prox­i­mate­ly 10.45 am this morn­ing.

Po­lice of­fi­cers who re­spond­ed rushed Ray­mond to the Port-of-Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal where he died.

Cock­er­ton Street is a short street that sep­a­rates George and Nel­son streets.

Po­lice were not im­me­di­ate­ly clear on the mo­tive for the killing.
