Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the dis­cov­ery of an uniden­ti­fied man’s body found float­ing in the sea off Con­ces­sion Dri­ve, Sealots, on Fri­day evening.

Of­fi­cers from the Besson Street Po­lice Sta­tion re­spond­ed around 5.30 pm af­ter re­ceiv­ing a re­port from the Com­mand Cen­tre. When they ar­rived, they saw the body of a man of African de­scent float­ing in the wa­ter.

The Coast Guard as­sist­ed in re­triev­ing the body around 8 pm. Po­lice de­scribed the man as about 65 years old, of medi­um build, 5ft 7in tall, with short grey­ing un­kempt hair and beard.

Crime Scene In­ves­ti­ga­tors found no vis­i­ble marks of vi­o­lence. The body was lat­er tak­en to the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre for a post-mortem.
