Police are investigating the discovery of an unidentified man’s body found floating in the sea off Concession Drive, Sealots, on Friday evening.
Officers from the Besson Street Police Station responded around 5.30 pm after receiving a report from the Command Centre. When they arrived, they saw the body of a man of African descent floating in the water.
The Coast Guard assisted in retrieving the body around 8 pm. Police described the man as about 65 years old, of medium build, 5ft 7in tall, with short greying unkempt hair and beard.
Crime Scene Investigators found no visible marks of violence. The body was later taken to the Forensic Science Centre for a post-mortem.
