At­tor­ney Ronald Boynes who was chas­tised by Prime Min­is­ter Kei­th Row­ley' as one day be­ing in the Peo­ple's Na­tion­al Move­ment (PNM) and an­oth­er day be­ing in the Unit­ed Na­tion­al Con­gress (UNC) will be fil­ing his nom­i­na­tion to­day to chal­lenge Row­ley for the lead­er­ship of the PNM.

Boynes is­sued no­tice that he will be speak­ing on it lat­er to­day.

He joins for­mer PNM Min­is­ter Karen Nunez-Tesheira in chal­leng­ing Row­ley for the par­ty's lead­er­ship.

Row­ley sig­nalled re­cent­ly that he is ful­fill­ing the five year man­date he re­ceived in 2020.

Boynes un­suc­cess­ful­ly con­test­ed the PNM vice chair­man­ship in 2018, among some from the Man­ning led PNM who con­test­ed that year as in­de­pen­dent can­di­dates.

Boynes was chas­tised by Row­ley on the cam­paign trail then.

Boynes is the broth­er of Roger Boynes a for­mer min­is­ter in the Man­ning ad­min­is­tra­tion where Nunez-Tesheira al­so served.
