Police are investigating a break-in at the D’Abadie Open Bible Standard Church at Reid Lane Extension, D’Abadie, which took place on Saturday, November 25.
Kevin La Borde, 48, of Bregon Park, D’Abadie, reported to police that at 1:30 pm on Saturday, he locked and secured all doors and windows, as well as enabled the B-mobile Alarm system at the church building before leaving the premises.
La Borde told police that at about 2:30 am on Sunday, he received a call from B-mobile Security informing him that the alarm for the church had been triggered.
At about 4 am, he went to the church and discovered that the property’s security cameras were damaged, the door on the northern side of the property had been pried open, and the offices of the church had been ransacked.
La Borde also saw that the alarm box, which is situated inside the property, had been removed.
Northern Division CSI officers are investigating.
