Canada's High Commissioner to Trinidad and Tobago, Carla Hogan Rufelds has given a commitment to help Trinidad and Tobago in its fight against crime.
The commitment came via a courtesy call to Police Commissioner Gary Griffith at the Police Administration Building today.
A police statement said the meeting was in keeping with Commissioner Griffith’s continued objective of connecting and engaging with the country’s local and foreign stakeholders.
It said several topics were discussed, including the importance of the fight against crime as it relates to this country’s economic prosperity and overall sense of security.
The High Commissioner thanked Commissioner Griffith for being open to dialogue and cooperation in this regard.
