A 27-year-old Carapichaima mason has been charged with the murder of 25-year-old Shakeem Breedy, who was shot dead in December last year.
Malcolm Quintin appeared before Master Rhea Liebert in the High Court’s North Court B on Wednesday.
He was also charged with wounding with intent, shooting with intent, possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.
Police said Breedy was visiting a woman at her Central Division home on December 4 when two armed men, dressed in black, exited a black Nissan Tiida and opened fire.
Breedy and the woman were taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility, where he died.
Quintin was charged on Tuesday following advice from the Acting Deputy DPP.
The matter returns to court on September 18 for a status hearing.
