A 29-year-old Carenage woman freed herself after her ex-boyfriend reportedly kidnapped her on Sunday night.
Police said the woman received a call from the man at 9 pm, during which he asked her to buy a pair of sneakers she had for sale.
The woman agreed, and the man drove to her home shortly after.
As she walked outside to give him the sneakers, the man grabbed her and forced her into his Nissan Tiida hatchback before driving off.
The woman later told police she managed to free herself at 10:50 pm, ran to the Besson Street Police Station, contacted her mother, and was then taken to the Carenage Police Station.
Officers from the Anti-Kidnapping Squad were also called in and are continuing investigations.
