The Chaguanas Chamber of Industry and Commerce (CCIC) is taking steps for Small and Micro Enterprises (SMEs) to get a foothold in Guyana.
THE CCIC met with Marlon Joseph, President & Founder of 'Together We Win Business Network' of Georgetown, Guyana, on Wednesday for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between both organisations. The meeting took place at the CCIC's offices at Cumberbatch Street, Chaguanas.
CCIC head Baldath Maharaj said some chamber members are already engaging in business in Guyana. Maharaj said, "Now that we signed the MOU we would be getting more of our members involved in supplying the Guyanese market."
Maharaj said the 'Together We Win Business Network' works towards creating a sustainable business economy by providing opportunities through innovative collaboration, knowledge sharing and community development.
Maharaj said, "This collaboration will be quite beneficial to our members since Guyana’s economy is growing at a rapid pace and T&T can offer a lot to build their economy and stimulate overall economic activity for both countries. Many businesses are already doing business in Guyana and there is much that they can offer along the lines of trade and investment as well as human resources."
