100-year-old Den­nis Gre­goire re­ceived a plaque on Fri­day from Ch­agua­nas May­or Gopaul Bood­han at Gre­goire's Jor­dan Street, Lendore Vil­lage, Ch­agua­nas home. Gre­goire, who cel­e­brat­ed his 100th birth­day on Sep­tem­ber 16, 2018, said he was hap­py to be alive in 2019. Gre­goire said he has a vi­sion of see­ing 2020.

May­or Bood­han called on burgess­es and na­tion­als to play a greater role car­ing for the el­der­ly. Gre­goire's great-grand­son Ju­nior Jones de­scribed him as "a strict dis­ci­pli­nar­i­an" who be­lieved in the word of the Bible and brought up all his chil­dren in the ways pre­scribed by the holy text.
