Ramlogan said, “I am always accessible to anyone in Chaguanas. I am here to serve the people. As Deputy Mayor we at the CBC are continuing in several projects that would bring greater benefits to the people. I would be working closely with the mayor to tackle issues of traffic management along with safety and security issues. I am the chairman of the Borough’s Public Health Standing Committee and we are focusing on health issues. We are presently looking at the way meat vendors undertake their operations. I want to tackle the problems of abandoned lots.. We want owners to clean up their lots failing to do so they may have to face some penalties, but we want cooperation because this is for the better good of all.. I am also reviewing the bye-laws of the CBC. Some of these laws archaic and require amendments to make them more effective.”
Richard Sukdeo, the newly elected councillor for Cunupia, who was elected in the January 25 bye-election was also sworn in at the event
