Cleve Calderon from the popular Cleve's One Stop Music Shop has passed away at the age of 72.
Calderon died at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC) in Mt Hope yesterday after ailing for some time, his daughter Krisann told the T&T Guardian.
Calderon first started working at Rhyner's Record Shop with his cousin when he was 11 years old. Then in 1994 he eventually opened Cleve's One Stop Music Shop. He was still working there up to recently.
"Even when the doctors told him it was time to stop, he didn't want to hear that, he was working still," Krisann said.
Krisann said her father always made his family his first priority.
"He was all about life and love, his family more than anything else was first priority and then came the business, that he never gave up on. If he could have worked Sunday to Sunday he would have worked," she said.
Krisann said her father was a "free spirit" who was always willing to help others.
In paying tribute to Calderon yesterday, Frank Martineau, the Chief Executive Officer of Spektakular Promotions, said he never say Calderon vex.
"He was a very humble, cool, easy going, mild mannered, very pleasant fella nobody ever see Cleve vex," Martineau said.
