Police officers from the Central Division Major Crime Unit found several packages of marijuana valued at $65,000 hidden in a bushy area at Maracas/St Joseph on Monday.
According to a police report, during an anti-crime exercise the officers, after receiving information, went to a bushy area along Acono Road where a search was conducted.
The officers found large black garbage bag which contained 12 brown packets with compressed marijuana weighing a total of 6.5 kilogrammes.
The exercise was coordinated by Ag Sr Supt Seepersad and supervised by Sgt Deosaran.

Investigations are continuing.
