Police are once again calling on the public to come forward to help identify the decomposing body of a man, which was retrieved from the Paria Bay Waterfall in Blanchisseuse on October 6.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service renewed its call for citizens to help yesterday after no one contacted police to provide any information that would help to piece together who the person was and how he met his death.
The nude and bloated body was first sighted on October 6, following which a search party comprised of police officers from the Blanchisseuse Police Station, the T&T Coast Guard, and fire officers from the Santa Cruz Fire Station Search and Rescue Team, went to the area and recovered the body.
Guardian Media was told the body of the victim, who had a rasta hairstyle, bore what appeared to be chop wounds to the neck.
The body remains at the Forensic Science Centre, St James.
Anyone with information has been asked to contact the Blanchisseuse Police Station at 612 -2470 ext 75590/75810-75813 or 800-TIPS.
