In­ves­ti­ga­tors have been pro­vid­ed with two names which they be­lieve may as­sist them in solv­ing the mur­der of 23-year-old Lennox Bellerand Jnr.

Bellerand was gunned down while in the wait­ing room of the Suc­cess/Laven­tille Health Cen­tre at Es­pinet Street Thurs­day morn­ing. Two men en­tered the fa­cil­i­ty and killed the young man in full view of par­ents and chil­dren. Ac­cord­ing to po­lice yes­ter­day, ar­rests were im­mi­nent as in­ves­ti­ga­tors said they had an idea of who they were look­ing for.

They said al­though res­i­dents were re­luc­tant to pro­vide in­for­ma­tion, they were able to gath­er in­for­ma­tion from a near­by video sur­veil­lance cam­era. The health cen­tre re­mained closed yes­ter­day as the Health Min­istry ad­vised res­i­dents to vis­it neigh­bour­ing cen­tres. At Es­pinet Street yes­ter­day, res­i­dents said they were not sur­prised by the brazen­ness of the gun­men. Up to late yes­ter­day af­ter­noon, of­fi­cers from the Besson Street CID, un­der act­ing ASP Sa­hadeo Singh, were con­duct­ing search­es for the as­sailants.
