Ak­ile Si­mon

Three women, ages 16 to 20, were ar­rest­ed by po­lice in con­nec­tion with at­tempt­ing to mur­der an­oth­er woman. Up to late yes­ter­day, the sus­pects were in cus­tody at the Bel­mont Po­lice Sta­tion.

Po­lice said the al­leged in­ci­dent oc­curred last week at Port-of-Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal, where the vic­tim went to seek med­ical at­ten­tion. Of­fi­cers said the sus­pects fol­lowed the vic­tim to the hos­pi­tal and dealt her mul­ti­ple stabs about the back and chest. PC Gon­za­les and Cpl Hon­ore of the Bel­mont Po­lice Sta­tion are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the in­ci­dent.
