An executive with 96.1FM has been charged with fraud. Accounts executive Nicole Main appeared before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate yesterday and was granted bail. Police said she was arrested on Wednesday at the station on Tragarete Road, Port-of-Spain, after it was alleged that money was missing from the station. The charges were laid by Cpl Popan.
Main has been affiliated with the radio station for the past 16 years. Chief executive officer of the station, Anthony Chow Lin On, also confirmed that Main appeared in court yesterday. It was also confirmed another employee was detained for questioning. A telephone interview with Supt Joseph of the Fraud Squad confirmed that the Main is due to reappear in court on February 3.
