Police are investigating a chopping at a man's Cunupia home early on Wednesday morning.
Police said the 30-year-old man was at his Bridal Avenue home with his ex-girlfriend at around 5.10 am when he heard a man call out to her from outside the house.
The woman warned the man to run away, as the attacker stormed the house and chopped him on his head and hand before running away.
A friend took the wounded man to the Chaguanas Health Facility, where he was treated and transferred to another hospital for cuts to the back of his head and his left hand.
