Danah Alleyne, as she mourns the death of her 34-year-old fiance, Keone Paryag, gave the assurance that he is everything to her and more; “unbreakable team babe.”
The assurance was made public via her Facebook page yesterday, as she posted along with her words, a screen shot of one of many love messages he would often write to her via WhatsApp as she sleeps.
Paryag, in his message to her, said he was remorseful and sorry for any pain and hurt that he ever put her through in their 13-year relationship.
He described her as his rock and mentor; “You are my rock, BFF, mentor, love, soul mate. You are truly an inspiration of strength, wisdom, maturity, honesty and love and I mean genuine love. I am proud to see how you grew into, “ Paryag said.
He even expressed appreciation for her support for him at work. “I love sharing my office with you, waking up, going to work and coming home together, it’s like a dream. It’s such quality time money can’t buy and I never want to lose what we have and are building. If you are bothered or in pain, come to me we will beat and fix this together,” he added.
Paryag was shot and wounded by police officers on Friday night.
A video that went viral that same night showed Supt Wayne Mystar with his hands in the air begging Paryag to put down his gun. After a few minutes, three shots were heard.
An autopsy conducted at the Forensic Science Centre, confirmed that Paryag was shot twice in the leg, but died from internal and external haemorrhage.
As investigations continue into the police-involved shooting of Paryag, police investigators claimed they were not getting that expected 100 per cent co-operation, pertaining to what transpired on Friday.
Police said they strongly believe that something went terribly wrong that day, that “pushed” Paryag to take out his licensed fire-arm and shoot about ten times while in Alleyne’s apartment at Biljah Road, Chaguanas.
Information reaching the Guardian Media just at press time confirmed that Alleyne was expected to “clear Paryag’s name” at the station.
Sources close to Paryag’s family claim that “a lot of things being said about Paryag were not true.”
Guardian Media understands that Alleyne and Paryag were liming at her apartment shortly before 6pm, when he took out his licensed fire-arm and fired about ten shots prompting the neighbours to call the police.
Alleyne’s father, Pastor Dave Alleyne of Flaming Word Ministry, said he is saddened by the events that unfolded, but claimed that Paryag had an “emotional and mental meltdown” due to work issues.
Guardian Media was told that Paryag was affiliated with a family-owned, private security services business.
Since the shooting, both Police Commissioner Gary Griffith and the Police Complaints Authority, headed by David West, have launched separate investigations.
