Digicel Trinidad and Tobago has announced that all calls to Jamaica are free of charge in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, which caused widespread damage across the island.
The offer takes effect immediately and runs until Monday, November 3 at 11:59 p.m. A daily cap of 60 minutes will apply from Thursday, October 30 to ensure as many customers as possible can benefit while maintaining reliable network access for all users.
“Our customers live and work in a region that faces powerful storms and other crises with increasing frequency,” said Pieter Verkade, CEO of Digicel (Trinidad and Tobago). “In moments like these, communication is more than a service, it's a lifeline. It allows families to share comfort, exchange critical information, and offer reassurance across borders.
We’re proud to play our part in showing the true power of real connections as the people of Jamaica begin to recover from the impact of Hurricane Melissa.”
