The Water and Sewerage Authority says the continued disruption of a pipe-borne water supply in parts of North-East Trinidad is due to an unforeseen delay in the pipeline system upgrade and interconnectivity works.

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North East Trinidad served by the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant, who are still experiencing an interruption in their pipe borne water supply, that this is due to an unforeseen delay in the pipeline system upgrade and interconnectivity works, which were scheduled to be completed at midnight on Sunday June 28th, 2020. Work on this job is now expected to be completed by 6:00 p.m. today – Monday 29th June, 2020.
Areas to be affected include:
Sangre Grande Proper • Coalmine
Guaico • Manzanilla
La Horquetta • Omeara
Malabar • San Raphael
Greenvale • Carapo
Mausica • Maloney
Oropoune • Five Rivers Arouca
Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to
some affected areas in accordance with pipe borne water supply schedules.
For further information or assistance, customers are asked to contact WASA’s Customer
Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/4426. A limited truck-borne water service will be
available with priority given to special homes and health care institutions.
The Authority apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience
and understanding.
