A 76-year-old El So­cor­ro woman was beat­en and robbed by ban­dits who stormed her home on Thurs­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said the woman was prepar­ing lunch at her Ward Lane home at 11 am when two men walked in­side.

One of the men picked up a kitchen knife from the counter and point­ed it at her, while the oth­er held her by the neck.

They tied her hands, struck her in the face and body, and ran­sacked the house be­fore cut­ting the ca­bles to her DVR sys­tem and flee­ing with $12 in cash, a pair of ear­rings, a gold bracelet, and a chain.
