A 76-year-old El Socorro woman was beaten and robbed by bandits who stormed her home on Thursday morning.
Police said the woman was preparing lunch at her Ward Lane home at 11 am when two men walked inside.
One of the men picked up a kitchen knife from the counter and pointed it at her, while the other held her by the neck.
They tied her hands, struck her in the face and body, and ransacked the house before cutting the cables to her DVR system and fleeing with $12 in cash, a pair of earrings, a gold bracelet, and a chain.
Barataria police responded and are continuing enquiries
