Parts of south-west Trinidad are ex­pe­ri­enc­ing low wa­ter pres­sures and in some cas­es no wa­ter sup­ply, be­cause of on­go­ing emer­gency works on a de­liv­ery pump at the Granville Wa­ter Treat­ment Plant.

An ad­vi­so­ry from the Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty says these re­pairs are ex­pect­ed to be com­plet­ed on Fri­day 31st De­cem­ber 2021.  WASA al­so re­minds cus­tomers that it may take up to 48 hours for the ser­vice to nor­mal­ize to some af­fect­ed ar­eas fol­low­ing the com­ple­tion of the re­pair work.

WASA as­sures a lim­it­ed truck-borne wa­ter ser­vice will be avail­able with pri­or­i­ty giv­en to spe­cial homes and health care in­sti­tu­tions.

Af­fect­ed ar­eas in­clude Granville Old Road, Syfoo Trace, Bam­boo Vil­lage, Bois Bourg, Coro­man­del, Fuller­ton, Ce­dros, Ica­cos, Lal­la Street, Bil­wa Street and Boodram Trace.
