Caribbean Dragons will host its flagship event, IGNITE 2025, from October 12 to 15 with the summit focusing on entrepreneurship, investment, and regional growth.
Head of Strategy and Operations at Caribbean Dragons, Andrew Seepersad, said the event is designed to address challenges faced by early-stage founders. He noted that access to capital, mentorship, and networks remain barriers to growth and that IGNITE 2025 aims to bring those resources together.
The event will feature international participation, including Marcus Dantus, founder of Startup Mexico and a Shark on Shark Tank Mexico. Sessions will focus on sectors such as FinTech and HealthTech, as well as strategies for scaling businesses in international markets.
Last year, the summit partnered with the British High Commission to expand opportunities for startups. That edition also attracted financiers who are now exploring startup investment as part of their portfolios. Organisers said the outcomes demonstrated the event’s potential to link regional entrepreneurs with global markets.
Seepersad said the summit’s value lies in strengthening investor confidence and preparing founders to expand internationally. He added that Caribbean Dragons is considering Jamaica or Guyana as possible locations for IGNITE 2026.
Over 100 startups are expected to attend IGNITE 2025, alongside corporate sponsors from finance, technology, and hospitality. The organisers said the gathering will provide opportunities for entrepreneurs to connect with investors and strike business deals.
Caribbean Dragons said the summit remains its central platform for advancing entrepreneurship in the region.
