Police have seized a firearm and two rounds of ammunition during an intelligence-led operation in Maloney Gardens.
The operation was carried out on October 2nd, 2026, between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., by officers of the Northern North Central Division Task Force.
Acting on information received, officers conducted a search in Maloney Gardens, where they found a black and silver Beretta firearm fitted with a magazine.
Two rounds of 9mm ammunition were also found concealed in the washroom area.
Police Constable Solozano is continuing enquiries into the seizure.
The operation was coordinated by Senior Superintendent Frank, Superintendent McKenzie and Assistant Superintendent Balewa, and spearheaded by Inspector Mascall and Acting Sergeant Foster.
It was directly supervised by Corporal Romany, along with members of the Northern North Central Division Task Force.
