Five kilogrammes of cannabis were seized during a State of Emergency operation conducted by officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force in the Central Division on Thursday.
Police said officers conducted the exercise between 9 am and 2 pm on March 12.
During the operation, officers went to the Felicity district where they searched a bushy area with assistance from the Canine Unit.
Police said the search led to the discovery of ten packages containing a total of five kilogrammes of cannabis.
No arrests were reported in connection with the seizure.
The operation formed part of ongoing State of Emergency exercises conducted by officers across divisions.
Police said the exercise was sanctioned by DCP Suzette Martin and directed by ACP Hazel.
Senior officers involved in the operation included Snr Supt Ramnarine, Supt Ramsook and ASP Singh.
Personnel from the National Operations Task Force also took part in the exercise.
Police said officers searched the area as part of operations conducted under the State of Emergency.
The seized cannabis was taken into police custody.
