A 28-year-old man remains hospitalised in serious condition after being shot multiple times at his Gasparillo home on Saturday night.
Police said around 7.50 pm, the man, his two-year-old child, and his common-law wife were asleep at their Hauser Trace, Lightbourne home when he was awoken by gunshots.
He discovered that he had sustained wounds to his arm, shoulder, and chest.
Despite his injuries, he attempted to run to safety but was unable to move. With the assistance of his common-law wife, he got into his car and began driving to the San Fernando General Hospital, but he met the police on the way, and they escorted him there.
Authorities recovered three 9mm spent shells at the scene. Officers from the Gasparillo Police Station are investigating.
