A 28-year-old man re­mains hos­pi­talised in se­ri­ous con­di­tion af­ter be­ing shot mul­ti­ple times at his Gas­par­il­lo home on Sat­ur­day night.

Po­lice said around 7.50 pm, the man, his two-year-old child, and his com­mon-law wife were asleep at their Hauser Trace, Light­bourne home when he was awok­en by gun­shots.

He dis­cov­ered that he had sus­tained wounds to his arm, shoul­der, and chest.

De­spite his in­juries, he at­tempt­ed to run to safe­ty but was un­able to move. With the as­sis­tance of his com­mon-law wife, he got in­to his car and be­gan dri­ving to the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal, but he met the po­lice on the way, and they es­cort­ed him there.

Au­thor­i­ties re­cov­ered three 9mm spent shells at the scene. Of­fi­cers from the Gas­par­il­lo Po­lice Sta­tion are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
