The La Hor­quet­ta Health Cen­tre of­fers ser­vices like fam­i­ly plan­ning, im­mu­ni­sa­tion, post-na­tal, chron­ic dis­eases and dress­ings to the gen­er­al pub­lic. It is lo­cat­ed on Arthur Mur­ray Cres­cent, Phase 3, La Hor­quet­ta, Ari­ma.

On Wednes­day, nurse Edlin Charles joined the oth­er staff mem­bers in wel­com­ing the open­ing of the den­tal clin­ic at the fa­cil­i­ty. It re­turned to the fa­cil­i­ty af­ter a sev­en-year ab­sence. Par­lia­men­tary sec­re­tary in the Min­istry of Health Wes­ley George and chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer of the North Cen­tral Re­gion­al Health Au­thor­i­ty Car­olyn Wash­ing­ton-Aigle de­clared the fa­cil­i­ty open.

Among those present were St George East Coun­try Med­ical Of­fi­cer Dr In­dar­jit Bir­jah. At Wednes­day's cer­e­mo­ny, Charles said: "It is good the clin­ic has come back here. It went to Ari­ma. Peo­ple have been ask­ing for it." Den­tal nurse Ol­ga Ann-Ma­yard, as­sis­tant nurse Mar­sha Dot­tin-Julien and Dr Eliz­a­beth Preyam will over­see the clin­ic's op­er­a­tions. The clin­ic will serve peo­ple from La Hor­quet­ta, Mal­abar, Tumpuna Road, Brazil, San Rafael and Tal­paro.
