A three-year-old boy died on Sun­day night while try­ing to fetch a ball on the roof of his Sea Lots home. Ter­rell "Mo­mo" Man­swell was elec­tro­cut­ed, rel­a­tives said. Fam­i­ly mem­bers said he was play­ing foot­ball with cousins and the ball was thrown on the roof. The tod­dler climbed to the roof to re­trieve the ball when the in­ci­dent oc­curred. He was rushed to the Port-of-Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal where he was pro­nounced dead around 7 pm.

Ira Man­swell, Ter­rell's grand­moth­er said, in an in­ter­view at their Sea Lots home, that Ter­rell had been ac­cus­tomed to climb­ing. The au­top­sy was done yes­ter­day at the Port-of-Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal mor­tu­ary. He is the third child to die over the week­end. Aleena Atwell, of Cu­mu­to Road, San Rafael, was pro­nounced dead at the Ari­ma Health Fa­cil­i­ty on Sat­ur­day. Christo­pher Ramkha­lawan was burnt to death in a car crash on a bridge in Ca­roni on Sat­ur­day. Homi­cide of­fi­cers are con­tin­u­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions.
