A three-year-old boy died on Sunday night while trying to fetch a ball on the roof of his Sea Lots home. Terrell "Momo" Manswell was electrocuted, relatives said. Family members said he was playing football with cousins and the ball was thrown on the roof. The toddler climbed to the roof to retrieve the ball when the incident occurred. He was rushed to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital where he was pronounced dead around 7 pm.
Ira Manswell, Terrell's grandmother said, in an interview at their Sea Lots home, that Terrell had been accustomed to climbing. The autopsy was done yesterday at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital mortuary. He is the third child to die over the weekend. Aleena Atwell, of Cumuto Road, San Rafael, was pronounced dead at the Arima Health Facility on Saturday. Christopher Ramkhalawan was burnt to death in a car crash on a bridge in Caroni on Saturday. Homicide officers are continuing investigations.
