?The Rotary Club of St Augustine's first Walk for Charity was held last Sunday in El Dorado and Tunapuna. In a release the Rotary Club said its charities cover almost every aspect of society. The club said it was involved with the Pacemaker Bank of T&T, where more than $20 million worth of pacemakers had been implanted into citizens free of charge. Other projects that the club has been involved in are the Gift of Life and the preservations of Planet Earth.
It said the Walk for Charity project would run to December 12 and contributions were being accepted by all members of the club. The Rotary Club of St Augustine's next fund raising event is its Carnival All Inclusive Fete at the VIP car park of the Centre of Excellence next February.
