?The Ro­tary Club of St Au­gus­tine's first Walk for Char­i­ty was held last Sun­day in El Do­ra­do and Tu­na­puna. In a re­lease the Ro­tary Club said its char­i­ties cov­er al­most every as­pect of so­ci­ety. The club said it was in­volved with the Pace­mak­er Bank of T&T, where more than $20 mil­lion worth of pace­mak­ers had been im­plant­ed in­to cit­i­zens free of charge. Oth­er projects that the club has been in­volved in are the Gift of Life and the preser­va­tions of Plan­et Earth.

It said the Walk for Char­i­ty project would run to De­cem­ber 12 and con­tri­bu­tions were be­ing ac­cept­ed by all mem­bers of the club. The Ro­tary Club of St Au­gus­tine's next fund rais­ing event is its Car­ni­val All In­clu­sive Fete at the VIP car park of the Cen­tre of Ex­cel­lence next Feb­ru­ary.
