Unit­ed Na­tion­al Con­gress Chief Whip Jack Warn­er has turned to the Holy Bible to give his god­daugh­ter her mid­dle name. Mag­da­lene–who was an avid be­liev­er of Je­sus Christ be­fore he was cru­ci­fied–is the name Warn­er has cho­sen for one-month-old Vashali Ram­per­sad, who was born on the floor of the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal. Mag­da­lene is al­so the mid­dle name of Warn­er's wife Mau­reen. Touched by the turn of events, Warn­er has ac­cept­ed the role of god­fa­ther to ba­by Vashali. Ba­by Vashali, who is the sec­ond child for her moth­er Ria, is ex­pect­ed to be chris­tened next month.
