?Pannists with reigning National Panorama single pan champions, La Horquetta (LH) Pan Groove, are celebrating their victory at Saturday's semi-final round of the competition held outside Pan Trinbago's headquarters, Victoria Park Suites, Park Street, Port-of-Spain. Arima All Stars earned 257 points, playing Dave "Booker" Martin's Hurry Hurry Come for Curry to qualify for the final, but not enough to beat LH Pan Groove which had a clear eight point-lead for its rendition of Fire Coming Down, composed by Robert Greenidge and Gregory Ballantyne with vocals by Superblue (Austin Lyons).
NLCB San Juan East Side Symphomy tied with Arima All Stars. The former band played Edwin Pouchet's arrangement of Party from the song-book of The Black Stalin (Dr Leroy Calliste). LH Pan Groove was the crowd favourite on the night of competition and, based on the award of 265 points, the band found favour with the panel of judges as well.
