A to­tal of 21 em­ploy­ees of the Amal­ga­mat­ed Se­cu­ri­ty Ser­vices will take part in the sev­enth an­nu­al King and Queen com­pe­ti­tion. The con­tes­tants promised to shine in three cat­e­gories–Mr Amal­ga­mat­ed, Ms Amal­ga­mat­ed and Ms Big and Beau­ti­ful to­mor­row at the CLR James Au­di­to­ri­um in Val­sayn.

The show will be host­ed by the Amal­ga­mat­ed Sport and Cul­tur­al Club, an arm of the se­cu­ri­ty com­pa­ny. Co-or­di­na­tor of the com­pe­ti­tion Mar­lene Joseph said the show was a kind ges­ture to the em­ploy­ees. Joe­sph said: "The show is geared to­wards em­ploy­ee sat­is­fac­tion, en­gen­der­ing ca­ma­raderie and so­cial in­ter­ac­tion. It al­so helps to pro­mote a healthy lifestyle among the dif­fer­ent lev­els of the em­ploy­ees in the or­gan­i­sa­tion." Win­ners are ex­pect­ed to re­ceive $3,000 for Mr and Ms Amal­ga­mat­ed and $2,500 for Ms Big and Beau­ti­ful. Oth­er prizes in­clud­ed chal­lenge tro­phies, tick­ets for two in each cat­e­go­ry to To­ba­go and ham­pers.

The show is ex­pect­ed to be­gin at 4 pm. Vy­ing for Mr Amal­ga­mat­ed are Cis­co John, Dar­rell Archie, David Ray­mond, Reynold Hospedales and Shewyn O'Con­ner. Ms Amal­ga­mat­ed are An­nasta­cia Lewis, Ifay­ola Proverbs, Deneike Orr, Or­nel­la Hug­gins, Natasha Jor­dan, Jan­ice Thomas, Jenelle Thomas and Jor­dine Cal­liste. Ms Big and Beau­ti­ful en­trants are Wendy Coop­er, Oni­ka Har­vey, Mala Ram­per­sad, Ayana Au­guste and Louise Clarence.
