Government is calling on citizens to cancel their vacation plans at this time until a cure if found for coronavirus COVID-19.
“Vacation is not essential. Cancel! Don’t reconsider, cancel,” National Security Minister Stuart Young told a news conference Saturday afternoon.
“At the end of the day the government is asking people to exercise social responsibility,” the minister said.
Asked whether the government will be implementing further travel bans, he added, “Right now, this thing is very fluid. The government continues to assess and we will continue to take advice from experts and the government is not ruling anything out at this stage.”
Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh added, “Put off, reschedule, cancel any vacation plans.”
‘Your health is more important at this time until there is a vaccine. Readjust your expectations at this point in time,” he added.
